CITY
OF THE SUN WELCOMES PIONEERS OF
THE NEW FRONTIER IN CYBERSPACE!!

| Following
the European Conference
on "Virtual Reality in Education,Training
and Disability" the SIRV [the Italian
Society of Virtual Reality], a non profit
association which began experimenting
in an evolutive space [City of the SUN],
in a highly interactive project, and
although not entirely emmersive, it
was still relevant to the Virtual Reality
theory.In the City of the SUN the citizen
(named Cityzen), is stimulated by a
series of activities which together
with the activites of many other Cityzens,
allow him to TRULY build a structured
environment, where although physically
non existant (the buildings are 3D)its
contents are ABSOLUTELY REAL (a build
can be RENTED or SOLD for REAL money). |
The
primary objective of the project is
to supply an environment which allows
the user to study the processes of
information transfer and to learn
new models both from a sociological,
economical and political point
of view,
brought to light
through the Interent dimension. The
rules which guide the management of
this evolutive space are simply those
based on the values of FREE-INTERNET
and hence of the New Economy: briefly
put - City of the SUN is an environment
in which Globalization can be experimented
and broight to realisation within
these guides.

Stiamo realizzando molti GATES alla City e, da ognuno di questi,
potrete direttamente volare alla vostra casa semplicemente introducendo
la vostra chiave.

The intention is to create an information structure, with its
relative “surf able” model within the City of the
Sun. This aspect would allow the direct participation of the
visitors to a LIVE VIDEO INTERNET event connecting up (via booking)
through an audio or written participation on the web.
The structure of the above must have will need a “navigator”
and should enable at least 1000 participants to take part at
the same time.
This project with then be amplified in the following years to
accept up to 20,000 participants.
The Congress Building will have its own autonomous organization
and administration within the City.
The meetings and conferences will be either free of charge or
paid for: the
Earnings will be a coverage for the City the expenses of which
include the maintenance costs of the Congress Building.
The project will be carried out under the direction and propriety
of the City:
In fact a virtual Committee could be formed to create the realization
of the information structure the City needs the following organization:
>WIDE BAND CARRIER: a sponsor who gives the wide band for the
programmed events
3D TECHNOLOGY SUPPLIER: a sponsor who supplies 3D technology
free of charge to construct the 3D structure (Adobe Atmosphere,
SIlicon Graphics VRML, etc.)
HARDWARE SUPPLIER: a sponsor who supplies the servers necessary
SOFTWARE SUPPLIER: a supplier who supplies internet-TV technology
The advertising available will cover sponsor’s cost during
the events
carried out.
Access to the Congress Building and relative “reserved”
links will occur only
Through authorized “Navigators” and authorized “GATES”.

Tower is the first building in City of the SUN.
Il palazzo ospita gli uffici amministrativi della City ed
ha molti piani riservati ad uffici e ad eventi.

La rappresentazione in VRML e le viste d'insieme e degli interni
sono state ancora realizzate da Filippo Facchini.
